Cool Robot in Greenland 2013

The Cool Robot is a solar power, autonomous robot that was developed by a team of students at Dartmouth Thayer School in conjunction with Cold Regions Research and Engineering Laboratory (CRREL). In 2005 the Cool Robot was tested at Greenland Summit. The last two years have been spent in implementing the robot and redesigning its solar panel box. Now it is time to test Cool Robot and its improvement as it makes it way back to Greenland for its 2nd visit.

Beginning of Blog

Hi all this is the first post of this blog for the Cool Robot being resurrected to go to Greenland for it's second time. The robot is currently packed and ready to go waiting in Scotia, NY to fly to Kangerlussuaq Greenland on June 3. From there we will fly to Greenland Summit for a three week plus stay for testing. Throughout the trip I will do my best to keep you all, who care to read, up to date. Until then I need to get myself packed and ready for Greenland.
